The agency originated in response to the surge in demand within the local market, compounded by piracy attacks in Benin waters. As a result, ship owners and charterers sought refuge in Togo waters for enhanced safety. CTR Sarl adapted swiftly, reopening its Lomé port branch in 2011 to cater to the needs of ship owners.
